GRAND ENTRANCE

“Friends and Family welcome to the OFFICIAL beginning of the wedding reception of Mr and Mrs _______!!! *Crowd Cheers

Absolutely one of my favorite wedding moments!! Just imagine all your friends and family, seated in the reception area, excited to see you both for the first time!

The Grand Entrance is a momentous occasion that marks the official start of your reception as a newly married couple. This is the first time you’ll be introduced, so let’s make it memorable.

That being said . . . here are a few things to consider:

  1. Consider a modern grand entrance. Groups!
We used to introduce the bridal party in pairs. One bridesmaid with one groomsmen etc. Now in 2023 we’ve discovered that it’s much more fun to introduce the whole squad at once! Bring the groomsmen out in a group and then the bridesmaids out in a group. The energy is 10x!

  2. Using more than one song can kill the energy

I know it might seem like a good idea to have more than one song for your different groups but it actually usually kills the momentum.

For example, using separate songs for the bridal party and then the bride and groom may halt and restart the excitement rather than maintaining a continuous, high-energy vibe. It’s usually better to choose a single hype song and stick with it to keep the energy flowing.

  3. You don’t even have to introduce the Bridal Party at all.

It is often the case that the best grand entrances only involve the Bride and Groom. A clean and simple approach allows for a more streamlined and meaningful celebration.

  4. Don’t use a song at all. If you choose not to introduce your Bridal party, you can consider doing something I call the “Acappella Entrance” where we let your crowd’s cheers serve as the soundtrack to your arrival. This option feels very authentic and heartfelt.

  5. Don’t feel pressure to follow tradition if it doesn’t suit your style.
The grand entrance is all about celebrating your unique love story, so feel free to get creative and have fun with it.
